five months

Mr. Jack is rolling in both directions and will go after a toy or object of his affection if it's in sight.  He started rice cereal shortly after five months, and now can't get enough it seems!  He also lets us know when he is tired, and again when he is REALLY tired. Okay, okay, we get the message!  Has two lower "bumps" on his gums where teeth will eventually show up, and likes to put toys and fingers in there. Jack really loves people and looking at people's faces the most.  He lights up at every person, unless he's sleepy, and just can't muster the smile.  You may even be so lucky as to hear one of his famous happy squeal/screeches.  This is the ultimate in happiness!

mom and jack's awesome autumn adventure

The most beautiful and warm (deceptively warm) October afternoon, and we couldn't stay inside any longer!  The best I could capture with one hand...and we kept spotting all these fuzzy caterpillars!  Hadn't seem one of those in so long!

a quick fall trip to Seattle

First Cougar football viewing party at the Brewers, coffee and hugs with almost 1-year old Paul Thomas, a shower for baby Sydney (due to arrive late December, and we can't wait to meet her!), and Demaray cousins!

Harvest, part 1

And so begins the annual nut pick-up.  Jack's first harvest.  Ryan was working on the sweeper the whole day and we couldn't catch him on film. Uncles Wes and Daniel and Grandpa kept the tractors and harvester going and we got one full harvest out of the Barcelona before the downpour of rain.  Jack's pants also conveniently doubled as a hat when it started to sprinkle.
